Jordan Bates

Jordan Bates is a PhD student in Applied Mathematics for the Life and Social Sciences. He is a Graduate Research Associate with the Center for Policy Informatics. He was a fellow with the Eric & Wendy Schmidt Data Science for Social Good program at the University of Chicago in 2013 and is a fellow with the eScience Institute Data Science for Social Good program at the University of Washington this year. Jordan holds a B.S. Computer Science from Purdue University. Jordan Bates serves as the President and CEO of Humanity X. Jordan cares deeply about suicide prevention and is committed to making sure the project reaches its full potential. Jordan has expertise in text analysis, machine learning, and computational social science. Jordan provides leadership and team guidance to support the launch of this business.
